Welcome
Hawkesbury and District (HAD) Psychotherapy offers a secure and confidential space in which to explore emotional suffering and distress. The work here is based on relational and psychodynamic theories.
The world within us and the world around us are often distorted by the pressures of what we remember from our past and the narratives that others have imposed. The goal of our work is to examine those memories, to question the narratives that others have inscribed in us and about us, and to recover mental and emotional health.
Through regular “talking therapy” sessions, patients share their memories, fears, and desires. The pictures that emerge from these sessions help us understand what has gone awry, and offer opportunities to reassess, and then build newer and more authentic responses to both the inner and outer worlds.
